Kreative Conscience Artist Phonkp x Fred Blaze is Set to Release " Gangtapes" Mixtape

The Compton native is currently signed to Kreative Konscience Entertainment. Phonkp and Fred Blaze are set to release their highly anticipated EP “GangTapes“ in April 2017 with the lead single “ Right Now”. Right now is described as a "melodic trap“ track that is sure to be a fan favorite. The single is currently the 1st video installment from the 6 part Gang Tape Video series detailing a series of events that showcase the Life of an gang member. From selling drugs , pimping , home invasions , and the use of violence, this Hip-Hop documentary chronicles the survival tactics of those with few better options than what can be afforded through criminal activity.
The concept of Gang Tapes is influenced by 2001 movie GangTape where a brutal carjacking lead to the discovery of a camera that the main character “Puma” uses to document his life. Gang Tapes is a cinematic mix with upbeat hi tempo funkadelic beats mixed with high powered lyrics. It is the perfect combination for an EP that speaks to the streets. Nevertheless, according to Phonk P, the purpose is not to celebrate or encourage gang violence, drugs or vice, but to educate fans on the realities of leading a thug life. Furthermore, “ Gangtapes” EP features Cash Money artist Compton Menace, Westcoast legend OG Red Rum , PJ Vegas , TY Crookmind and More.
